Some time ago, I answered a question on Facebook in what I thought was an appropriate and humorous way. Instead, I learned that my experience of Covid-19 was tremendously unlike that of most Americans (and possibly most humans). Living alone in the country, working remotely, with minimal human contact at the best of times, I didn't really notice the epidemic all that much. And I didn't realize that. I have no real understanding of what many folks went through, both personally and culturally. Somehow, this article reminded me of that.
