Marc and Patty Conley from Missouri answered my plea on Facebook and decided to take a look.
These are photos from their initial inspection (when everything was still up in the air about what was going to happen to this instrument....).
At that point, none of us had any idea what we were getting into.
And before we parted, a plan was in place for Marc to return asap and start disassembly.
I willingly volunteered to help, and Patty joined us the next day along with a few church members.
The church would be turned over to the Presbytery on July 1,
and the realtor was already taking photos and had installed a lockbox on the front door.
Speed was of the essence! And two days later, the sanctuary was empty, the truck was full, and the organ was on its way to its new home.
(Photos are currently backwards, so click backward to see the disassembly.)
